Clapping your lights on and off is comically passe. Why make all that noise you can toggle the room's illumination with invisible bullets?
BANG! is a desk lamp controlled by a gun-shaped remote, designed by Taiwan-based Bitplay, and inspired by the creator's dread of getting out of bed on cold winter mornings to turn on the lights. It debuted this year at the New York International Gift Fair.
Not only does the firing remote toggle the light itself but, as you can see from the video, it also causes the lampshade to tip as if struck by an unseen projectile. The BANG! is currently only available in Asia but should have an American distributor lined up soon. All it needs is to make the PEWPEW sound effect and I will buy a ticket to Asia tonight.
